Public art collaboration with Andrew Frazer, Inglewood, WA.
Inspired by our own nostalgia for summertime swims, our design reflects symbols of the local pool - an iconic part of Australian culture and lifestyle that connects communities and brings about celebration and rejuvenation through swimming. It’s these memories and experiences that continue today, with our own children now carrying the legacy of the iconic Aussie pool into the future.

Ground Artwork
Skate Barriers
Feature sculptures and skate rail.
Working alongside Skate Sculpture and Realm Studios, I designed and installed a corridor ground artwork to run alongside the skate plaza and connect to the Basketball Stadium. Aluminium skate barriers and feature sculptures with integrated programmed lighting act as welcome statements to the plaza with an accented rail design providing a pop of colour to flow through the site.
My design reflects the site in its former natural state, a seasonal swampland in flux as water passes through the site to influence abstract forms and movements connected to skating and basketball. Truly a dream project to be able to influence the visual language and experience of the site and so fun to skate this one…
Mural installation for Woolworths Group.
Clarkson, WA, 2023
The design takes inspiration from the green linkages occuring along the coast from Perth up to Clarkson and Mindarie. The artwork displays migration pathways of the endangered Carnaby’s Black Cockatoos on the left and Seagulls on the right to show the contrast from the bushland to the coast. Big thanks to Mindarie Primary School where we created a series of workshops which inspired the background abstract forms, taking reference from their experience of the local surrounds.
This was a fun one!

It is a humbling experience to be presented with an opportunity to create a large scale artwork within any community. The desire is to speak to the site (& surrounds) to reflect the unique qualities & attributes that locals hold so dearly. The design development has been centred around the Canning River & how it has served for generations as a place of provision, travel & gathering. The artwork will be an invitation to the viewer to reflect & converse around these themes alongside their own personal interpretation. This is what brings such vibrancy to painting in such a busy location... the response of the public. Our desire is the integration of the natural world into the built form, speaking to place and purpose to bring vibrancy into the space. The Stockland Riverton shopping centre is a hive of activity & our hope is the artwork serves as a creative intervention in the pace of people's lives as they pass by. That it would illuminate the beauty of Riverton as a community & celebrate the diversity of its natural surroundings.

We began with a study of place & purpose to form a narrative to drive our artistic direction: Expansive Spaces & Intimate Communities.
The integrated artwork is expressed through a painted treatment, enhanced through dynamic lighting and artwork extensions to create a distinct visual language that is expressed across the site.
The intent for the artwork is to become deeply woven into the Esperance community as a celebration of gathering & connection.

Mural artwork depicting local flora, fauna and industry through abstract patterns and textures, with the lettering grounding the artwork to the specific site. The sculptural aluminium letters have LED strip lighting fixed to the back to illuminate from behind. By day the letters cast shadows to map time, while at night animated programmed lighting sequences react to lunar phases to to continue the tracking of time - from shadows to illumination for a complete 24hr loop.
Shout out to @steve.berrick for the lighting design, @formwa for managing the project, @denmacholdings for the letters and @vicinitycentres for having me on board.

The design explores the connection between humans and nature examining the different hemispheres of the brain and how they process information.
Tawai is the word the nomadic hunter gatherers of Borneo use to describe their inner feeling of connection to nature. In this dreamy, philosophical and sociological look at life, explorer Bruce Parry travels the world to learn from people living lives very different to our own. From the jungles of Malaysia to the tributaries of the Amazon, TAWAI is a quest for reconnection, providing a powerful voice from the heart of the forest itself.

Seasons is a projection installation and the feature exhibit at Scitech's new Backyard Adventures Exhibition. The projection runs for roughly 8 mins which shows the life cycle of a house from the very first brick, to being reclaimed by nature as it passes through the seasons. Our approach was to create a stylised surreal landscape that challenges children's imagination as they witness a textured house and life existing in a world made of paper.
To bring this house to life we used a combination of Photoshop for all the illustration and styling, combined with Cinema 4D for the modelling and animation and post-production and additional animation in After Effects. The entire piece was composited in After Effects then mapped to the house using Mad Mapper.

Hand drawn animated loop for the Affectors show Cause & Affect - Sydney and Melbourne, 2014. The concept is based on a character I created for a mural in the Pilbara in Western Australia - Inkan - an incandescent globe. The stories told through Inkan aim to raise awareness to the global lighting crisis of using kerosene and non efficient energy sources for lighting.

Wallpaper designs for The Paper Merchants
I'm trying to catch that summer afternoon surf atmosphere—end of the workday, warm and still outside, heading for the water. I wanted to keep this design minimal focusing on the line work to invite the viewer in to look closer at the detail and really let the overall atmosphere take over. I'm designing with these in mind for a set of trunks.
3.2m wide x 2.5m high (5 panels each 650mm wide)
The Paper Merchants use a paste-free wallpaper that goes on with water and is then easily removed with water—leaving the walls completely undamaged. There is also an added eco benefit of FSC®-certified paper from sustainable forests and contains 10% recycled content from post-consumer waste. It’s also PVC free—so its safe for children!

Wallpaper designs for The Paper Merchants
Using a vertical garden which sits outside my studio window as inspiration, I want to blend loose and geometric forms. In all my work I'm looking to create that sense of nostalgia and capture an atmosphere - this one makes me think of Autumn on the West Coast.

Pulling inspiration from surfing and the good vibes that comes from exchanging a shaka, I designed the Finmill. It's a play on abstract pattern and shapes to form something familiar and unique at the same time.
